The Area

Punta del Este has much to offer: beaches, shopping, eating out, water sports, and much more. Rincon del Diario is a 10 minute drive away from the town centre, and a 10 minute walk from the beach, and yet it is secluded and quiet, with a garden which stretches down to the lakeshore. The lake is a natural haven for wildlife, and a variety of birds populate its shores. Explore the lake in a canoe – perfect for bird watching. The sea-front is just a 5 minute walk away from the property, with a broad unspoilt sandy beach and good, safe sea bathing.

If you prefer the bustle of downtown, 10 minutes in the car will take you to the centre of Punta del Este, with excellent shopping facilities, endless bars and restaurants, and a busy nightlife. There are many excursions available: fishing trips, cruises to view the seal colony at Isla de Lobos, coastal excursions and many more. Many activities are available locally, such as golf, tennis, horse riding and water sports. The local Tourist Information can advise.
